Timing is everything

At last! I have been highly critical over the last few weeks of the lack of policy statements coming out of the Conservative Party.

When this campaign started at the beginning of the year, I understood why David Cameron was reluctant to put detailed policies on paper. Only an idiot would give his opponents the opportunity to steal their policies and present them as their own - and let's be honest, Labour are experts at doing precisely that.

Even in Thursday night's debate, I felt that Cameron did not nail Brown by coming out with concrete promises and guarantees, and consigning the Labour scaremongerng machine to the dustbin of history.

Well, I'm sorry Dave. I apologize. Your leaflet today leaves me in no doubt that I have greatly underestimated you because here it is at last.

I'm also sorry that I waited until today to vote, because like many others I was swayed by the polish and style of the LibDem performance. But while I think the electoral system is wrong, I'm not going to pay for changing it by giving amnesties to illegal immigrants and joining the Euro.

But there is one thing I am not sorry about - watching the death throes of a man who has done more damage to this nation than Hitler. Better start booking the removal van, Gordon - and good riddance!

I am now beginning to really believe that the Labour nightmare is drawing to a close - and frankly I can't wait to see the destruction of Brown by his own party once the voting is over. Never has it been more richly deserved.

My vote is in the post. Now let's get on with sorting this shambles out...

120 Reasons: Donna, Twired, Mrs. P

This week we are working on 120 reasons to love Rob.

RPfangirlDC

1. His kindness. First and foremost. He is so kind with fans. He always seems willing to oblige a fan's request for a photo and/or an autograph.

2. He strives to help others. Not just with the earthquake victims in Haiti, or those AMFAR kisses, but also with WWE... one of my most favorite charities. (the other would be make a wish.) He is always so giving of himself for the greater good of world kind.

3. The man possesses the quirkiest sense of humor ever. Any time he jokes around, I melt. I adore that he doesn't go for a direct hit with a joke. Sometimes you have to think and wonder about it before you get it.

4. Those deep blue eyes. They just put me under a spell everytime. They are the windows to his soul, as you can tell by looking into them whether or not he is happy.

5. His smiles are highly contagious! It's something I love to catch from him. How could you see him smiling with his shining, bright, smile and not feel the need to return it?

6. He is multi-talented. (Not in the porn way, but I am sure that applies, too.) He does wonderful with acting. He has a soulful singing voice that I could listen to all day. He can play many instruments. I am amazed with all of his talents. I wish he had more opportunity to share them all.

 7. His shyness keeps him grounded and real. I think if he were the outgoing type, he would be uber conceited with all of the attention that he's getting.

8. His laughs. From that adorable "I just told the funniest joke ever" deep laugh to the "I am feeling myself blush" light chuckle, they are the best laughs ever. Like his smiles, they are highly contagious.

9. I love that Rob knows what he wants. It seems that (especially lately) he will keep doing whatever he has his mind set to doing -- from giving autographs when the manager is wisking him away to knowing what he wants to do career wise. He has a great, smart head on his shoulders and actually uses it.

10. Lastly, I am going to go shallow with it. I LOVE when Rob runs his fingers through his hair. He kills me when he does it because he's nervous. I so want to be his hand just running through, what I am sure is, thick luxurious hair. LOVE THAT!

TWIRED

1. He epitomizes Vampire sexyness. I can't think of anyone else who could have played Edward Cullen better. But then again I already knew RPattz was playing him when I read Twi for the first time...so he was the only one I could visualize.

2. His accent. Nothing like a hot man with a British accent.

3. His height. Nothing like a hot tall man to get the hormones racing.

4. His fingers...there is something very SEXUAL about those digits...

5. His jaw. It's the most perfectly angled jaw I think I have ever seen.

6. His smile/lips. It melts hearts and sets panties afire!

7. I love how Rob smells....err, how I imagine him to smell. I think it would be like Tide detergent & a slight hint of aftershave...something clean & fresh. I doubt he's the heavy cologne wearing type. Just my guess though...

8. How he can go from silly to smoking hot in 2 second flat.

9. His serious GQ look. It's the pic that really did me in.

10. His personality. He seems to be such a genuinely "good-guy." Sometimes I feel bad for him...that this whole Twilight phenomenon has sky rocketed his popularity to the point of seriously sacrificing his privacy. (sniff)

Mrs. P

1) When he answers questions, there are more giggles than words in his answers.
2) He can laugh at himself but never laughs at anyone else.

3) He looks incredible in a suit.

4) He has the most amazing eyes I have ever seen.
5) He is an accidental flirt.

6) He is one of a kind...and I can't find another one like him anywhere.

7) His English accent makes me insane (in a good way).
8) He lost his car (which makes him ridiculously careless) but also carefree.
9) He seems so down to earth and approachable, but yet unattainable.

10) He is currently the most beautiful man on the planet.

Thank you very much ladies for all your wonderful reasons.
Remember, tomorrow night will be a very "loving" PicSpam.

Come clean Cleggy - who ya gonna sleep with?

Tonight's the night of the third debate - but I bet no-one is going to put these questions forward :

To Cameron and Brown : What are you going to promise Nick Clegg to get him in bed with you?

To Nick Clegg : Can you trust either of these buggers to honour their promises?

First it's Labour, then you can't work with Brown, then you can again. It's not inspiring me with confidence...

I think we have a right to have these questions answered before we decide where to put our votes.

And just in case you need a lighter note, here's a cracking litte Clegg song I nicked off YouTube (Thanks to TommyReckless - nice one!)

120 Reasons: Smart E Pants, Poptart, Honolulugirl

Continuing our 120 reasons to love Rob.

Smart E Pants

10 Reasons I Love Rob.
Hmmm…Only 10??? That’s not fair.
You make it very fucking challenging to narrow it down to just 10. So keep in mind the following is in no order of importance or significance. I’m certain I will not be alone in my reasoning…

#10.  I love Rob’s hair. I am insanely mesmerized by his luscious locks.  I could burrow myself in the silky thickness.

#9. I love Rob’s eyes. His intense gaze pierces my soul. That is all.

#8. I love Rob’s lips. Pink, soft, full, perfect. I involuntarily lick mine whenever I see His.

#7. I love Rob’s neck mole. Um, yeah…I wanna lick it. Not gonna apologize.

#6. I love Rob’s tongue. No need for me to elaborate.

#5. I love Rob’s jaw. This is how He first got me. I, um. Well what happened was…uh, yeah. Fuck. Um, what? Leave me alone! I’m busy…..

#4. I love Rob’s hands. His hands do funny things to me. Not just because they could ruin me sexually, but because they could comfort me. His are hands that would make me feel held. Feel secure. Safe. Loved.

#3. I love Rob’s laugh. I can’t help but smile and giggle when I see Him happy! He has the same self-deprecating sense of humor that I do, and I love to see Him laugh with abandon!

#2. I love that Rob smokes. I know it’s a dirty, dirty, habit…but I’m a smoker as well, and I find it intoxicatingly attractive to look at Him smoking. Plus, two smokers cancel each other out. I would inhale Him.

#1. I love that Rob is a musician. I may have mentioned before, I am a music junkie. I am beyond adoration of His musical talents…and I fantasize about harmonizing with Him. Beautiful music indeed.

He is beautiful and I love Him. Period. Do I really need a reason???

POPTART

1. Your unruly hair makes me fantasize things that would make a nun blush.

2. Because of rob and his films I have met the most amazing people and for this I love him more.

3. I love his social awkwardness and how he seems so shy.

4. I love Robs voice. His music sends chills down my spine.

5. I love how though he is immaculately beautiful, he is also educated and well read.

6. I love how Rob is the only Man that my boyfriend is jealous off, whilst so other guys he sees as no threat.

7. Because to me he is a modern day James dean.

8. Because he sparkles and he owns it.

9. His smile. The end.

10. Because he IS Robert Pattinson.

Honolulugirl

1.    I had seen glimpses of a very attractive young man named Cedric in the Harry Potter film but it was not until I watched Twilight and in this particular scene, that  I really noticed Rob. That very week, I read the entire saga, but thanks to Rob Pattinson, I now had a beautiful image of Edward Cullen.

2. Rob’s music. Still around the same time as having seen Twilight for the first time (around 2/09), did I discover Rob as a musician. Having purchased the DVD in March, I really got to pay attention to the background and how it affected the scenes, and Rob’s music touched me. This made me love him even more. “Let Me Sign” has my heart.

3. Rob’s boyish charms. This video clip of Rob/Kristen and Stephenie is where I fell I love with his boyish charms

4. Rob’s wit. As the year moved on, so did my adoration for Rob. By April 2009, I realized I was irrevocably and undeniably in love with him when I read the GQ Interview. Still my favorite editorial of Rob Pattinson.

5. Now I have to break down body parts. I love Rob’s Hair!! Without his luscious locks, argh; I can’t even think about it…. There is something undeniably animalistic about his hair. It makes me want to run my fingers through it, combing it, playing with it. It calls to me, and is its own entity.

 6. Rob’s Eyes. They really can melt panties. They are a beautiful color and very expressive. His eyes alone can dictate his moods, and he wears his emotions easily on his face. Luckily for us, he’s gorgeous.

7. Rob’s Lips. Maybe just as expressive as his eyes. He has very pouty, but kissable lips for a man. I’m pretty sure he uses lip balm. If he doesn’t, god bless him.

8. Rob’s jaw. Rob has a very pronounced jaw that seems to balance his face quite well. His chin is neither too large, nor too small. It is delectably, just right. I did not know I appreciated such a feature in a man, till I met Rob.

9. Rob’s is humble. Time and time again, Rob has not allowed fame to change him. He is a breath of fresh air, each time he is interviewed. He answers honestly, and never takes his own persona too seriously.

10. Rob is plain and simple. Sex. Not sexy, just sex. He personifies what I breathe, sleep, eat and desire. Yeah it’s a bit much to say that, but he really is breathtaking.

Thanks to these lovely ladies for joining me today.

Sing-a-long-a-voter with the Travelling Wilburys

Let's put the election campaign into perspective with this collaboration between yours truly and the Travelling Wilburys - although to be fair, I didn't exactly ask them!

"Well, it's all shite
'Cos we're coming to election time..."

'Cos we're coming to election time..."

120 Reasons: Tina, Kelly, Stefter

Continuing our list of 120 reasons to love Rob.

TINA

1 - When he smiles, laughs and giggles, he uses his whole face and body.

2 - His sarcastic and self depreciating sense of humour.

3 - The way he effortlessly holds his cigarette in his mouth.

4 - When he licks his lips, and leaves his tongue just poking out.

5 - The amount of energy he puts into his Roles, and understands each character as a person, and that these roles always challenge him.

6 - The silent confidence he holds in interviews and at premieres. He smiles and giggles, but there is an air of confidence about him.

7 - His music. It makes me want to smile, and cry and gives that indescribable 'oh i have no fucking words' feeling.

8 - His eyes.

9 - The way he articulates a sentence, when his mouth hangs open, just as he's about to answer someones question, and his eyes are wide.

10 - Everything about him, intellectually, mentally and physically.

1) I love that everytime I see your face, I smile.  No matter how it is, a simple picture that I may have seen a million times, will make me smile... it's sort of like not being able to sneeze with your eyes open.  I just can't not smile when I see you.

2) I love that with you, what you see is what you get.  There is no pretense, not games.. here it is, take it or leave it... oh and I'll take it.

3) I love that you make me want to be a better person.  It's weird.  I don't know you and yet there is something about you that makes me just want to try harder to be a better person.

4) I love that you looked me in the eye when I got my chance to meet you.  Looked me in the eye and spoke directly to me... You made a connection, even though it was brief.. that is a rare trait.
 5) I love your eyes. Within them a person can see so many things, they are the most expressive thing about you, you smile with them, you listen with them, you laugh with them, you care with them. I love your eyes.
 6) I love your laugh. I love when you laugh out loud with uninhibited glee... when you laugh it makes people want to laugh too. Oh, and your giggle.. I love your giggle.

7) I love that that far, you have remained unaffected by it all. You strive to remain grounded, and stay true to yourself. Another admirable trait, and not something often seen in others in your position.

 8) I love that you have a love for music. Music fills a persons soul in a way that not many other things in life can. Music is a gift, and I love that you appreciate that gift as well.

9) I love that you are a good friend. I see how you and your friends, those you have known for years since you were all just boys, I see how you treat eachother. I love that you are still there for them.. and I love even more that they are as unaffected by it all and are there for you. Everyone needs a good buddy to help keep them grounded. I love that you have a few of them.

10) I love that I get to live in a world where you exist. I don't remember a time when reading abot you, or seeing pictures of you wasn't a daily occurance. I love that you are here, in my world, and very much a part of it.. just by doing what you do. I feel so blessed to know that there is someone like you in the world. A real, genuine soul, who is doing what he loves and dealing with it all the besty way he knows how, all the while stagying true to himself. I love that you are part of my world, my lifetime. It is such a gift that we share this time in history.
STEFTER
1. His neck. He has the most beautiful neck I have ever seen. 'Nuff said!
2. His jaw. It's so angular and masculine. Makes me want to cry.
3.His
scruff. Scruff never appealed to me before Rob. When you partner it with
number 2 above it is to die for.

4. His
self-deprecating humor. It just shows how modest he is and how he doesn’t
take himself too seriously.

5. His
smile/laugh. How can you not smile back when you see him smile or hear him
laugh?!

6. His
voice. When he speaks (especially with his Brit accent) I turn to jelly.
When he sings, I melt into a puddle.

7. His
role as Edward. He is beautiful as Edward. Can we even imagine anyone else
playing this part? I thank all the powers that be for having him play this
role. He’s perfect!!!

8. His
eyes. You can just get lost in those eyes of his. Sometime they look blue
other times green and sometimes grey. *sigh*

9. His
nervous habit of running his hands through his hair. There is something
very hot about him when he does this. I can’t even describe it.

10. Smoking.
Now don’t be angry with me. I know smoking is a vile habit, but MAN does
he look f*** hot when he smokes. NO ONE HAS EVER MADE SMOKING LOOK SO
GOOD!!!

A big thank you to Tina, Kelly, and Stefter!!
