The Polar Bear Song

Cyborg Noodle - 1600 x 1200

Cyborg Noodle is the newest member for virtual band Gorillaz created for their album Plastic Beach. In the storyline, she was created by the band leader, Murdoc, as a replacement for the band's original guitarist, Noodle, whose whereabouts were allegedly unknown. She was created through the use of cybernetic prosthetics as well as some DNA samples of Noodle that were salvaged from the wreckage of the flying windmill island which was destroyed in the "El Mañana" music video. She serves as both a guitarist and a "gun-slinging bodyguard" for Murdoc.



Aside from her built-in knowledge of musical instruments and theory, Cyborg Noodle also has a vast knowledge of weapons and fighting techniques, as well as basic skills, much like Noodle. Unlike the original Noodle's reserved and calm nature, Cyborg Noodle was programmed by Murdoc to take on even the riskiest tasks without hesitation by any means necessary, making her in some ways a robotic mercenary. She seems to malfunction in "Stylo" due to a thunderstorm halfway through the video and having been previously shot in the head, but later repairs herself, as seen in "On Melancholy Hill".

Winehouse wasn't that good!

I'm sorry that Amy Winehouse is dead. It's tragic that any 27 year old should throw her life away like she did.

But at the same time, I am getting really pissed off at all these z-grade celebs telling me how fucking wonderful she was and how she saved the British music industry single handed.

Apparently, she was a 'legend'. No she wasn't. She was just a singer. Whether she was a good singer depends on your personal taste, but she certainly wasn't a legend - although I'm sure the record companies will hype her into one just to sell more records.

Drugs and booze took their toll on this sad, pathetic woman. This happens to many in the music industry. But while her fans are busy praising the dead, perhaps we should reflect on the times she turned up at a performance too high or drunk to perform. The same loyal fans booed her off the stage.

She was guilty of forgetting the first rule of entertainment - you have to please the audience, not yourself.

Life is Shit

This is possibly the most depressing song ever written and deserves a place in the Guiness Book of Records! It makes 'Old Shep' look positively jolly!



A good while back, I met this bloke on a boat and he said he wrote his own stuff so I suggested he might like to contribute - you know, you write the music and I'll do the videos. Well, I'm no musician and he's no PC genius so it seemed like a good match. I published under my name because he didn't want the publicity. Until I heard this, I thought he as just being modest, but now I can see why...

I reckon this has a bit of a Bob Dylan feel to - well, Dylan in one of his less light hearted moods anyway!
