PAULA ABDUL LOOKING FOR NEW LOVE
Paula Abdul American Idol star Paula Abdul is looking for love so she can settle down and start a family of her own, before it's too late. Abdul has been single since splitting from J.T. Torregiani last summer, and she is admitting that she's ready to find a man once again. But the twice divorced Paula isn't interested in marrying once more, she's very happy to settle for a long-term love affair. Abdul tells OK! magazine, "I tried marriage and it didn't work too well for me, but I would very much like to find a soul mate. I look at couples like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and see what I would like to have: a beautiful lasting relationship that doesn't require a piece of paper." Kids are also in her plans: "I'd love to have children with that soul mate. Adoption is definitely an option."

IDOL PRODUCER ON PAULA ABDUL
An "American Idol" producer is denying media reports that Paula Abdul is going to leave the hit television show, and is insisting she is an "integral part" of the contest. Abdul has been surrounded in controversy after a crazed fan committed suicide outside her California home last month. She claimed the producers failed to keep Paula Goodspeed away and let her audition on three separate occasions, knowing she had stalked the star for over 17 years. Bosses denied knowing Godspeed was a threat and rumors surfaced that Abdul would be leaving the hit show very soon. But producer Ken Warwick has flatly denied the reports, insisting the judge is "worth her weight in gold." He tells People.com, "America loves Paula. She's an integral part of this program. "There's never been any discussion that we would want to get rid of Paula. Never have I been faced with anyone saying Paula's got to go. She's one of the foundation blocks of this series. She keeps Simon well in control, which is worth its weight in gold." And Warwick is insisting he had no idea Goodspeed had a bad problem with Abdul, and if he had he would not have let her come face-to-face with the judge. He adds, "I was in the room there and I can absolutely put my hand on my heart and say I didn't know. I didn't even know that this person was a risk or termed as a stalker. I knew she was a fan, an ardent fan. But that's the only thing that came in front of me. "I would definitely not put a dangerous person or a person remotely dangerous in front of the judges. You wouldn't take that risk." He also admits Abdul "may have mentioned it to a security man or another junior producer." But, "if the inference is that I would put someone in there because it would make good television -- she certainly didn't mention it to me. Paula AbdulThe very obsessed fan who committed suicide outside Paula Abdul's mansion last month stalked the American Idol star for almost 17 years. Paula Goodspeed took a suspected drug overdose in her car outside the gates of Abdul's Sherman Oaks, Calif., estate on November 11th. Paula reveals her tragic death ended an almost two decades long campaign that developed into a fearful obsession when Abdul landed a job on the hit television talent show in 2002. Speaking on "The View" today, the 45-year-old pop star says, "She has been a stalker/fan for about 17 years now. It wasn't until 'American Idol' that she ever knew how she could get to me. Prior to that it was all through a fan club. "Because of 'American Idol,' I've been an open target to be followed home. So the last five years have been a little tough for me." In a separate interview the singer confirms rumors she has been too scared to return to the home, which she is now selling.
