CHRISTIAN SLATER SPLITS FROM TAMARA

Hollywood star Christian Slater has reportedly broken up with his girlfriend, Tamara Mellon.The actor began dating Mellon, president of designer shoe brand Jimmy Choo, while he was acting in a stage show in London's West End theatre in 2007.Gossip reporters previously reported that Mellon, who lives in London with her daughter, Minty, was planning to move to Los Angeles California to be closer to Slater. And last month rumors circulated suggesting the couple could be on the verge of marriage. But now the couple is have allegedly called off their relationship, after struggling to maintain their long-distance relationship. A source tells Britain's Daily Mail, "We all thought Tamara and Christian were made for each other, but the pressures of their respective careers meant they were spending too much time apart.""Tamara always puts her daughter first and with two businesses -- her shoe brand Jimmy Choo and American fashion label Halston -- to run as well, it's all been too difficult. Tamara speaks very fondly of Christian and I'm sure they will stay good friends."

Former actress Lindsay Lohan lacks the focus to be a model, according to male runway star Tyson Beckford. After a series of spreads for top publications, including a nude shoot for New York magazine, the Lindsay recently revealed she is on the lookout for more modeling work. But Beckford insists she'll never make it as a catwalk queen. He tells Usmagazine.com, "She has the partying part down right. But I don't think she's got the focus. I mean, it requires a lot of focus and a lot of people think they can do it, but they really find that it's a lot harder. "Ask anyone - it's a lot harder than it looks. I guess that's why they call us supermodels - we make it look easy. But it's not as easy as it looks, so I wish her all the best."

Singer Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale have cancelled their plans for more children, so they can catch up on all their lost sleep. The happy pair already have two sons, 2-year-old Kingston and 7-month-old Zuma. Rossdale is admitting he and Stefani would love to try for a little daughter, but they are too tired to think about another child right now. He says, "Well that would seem logical, but then again, so would sleep! A bit of selfish time would be nice."
